The Olympic Games Medal Events Schedule
So for those of you that aren’t aware (and you should be, it’s been all over the news), the 2016 summer Olympic games will begin this Friday, August 5 in Rio de Janeiro. However, many aren’t really sure what events they should be watching. In fact, many don’t even know what events there are going to be.
So to make your life a little easier, and to help free up some DVR space for you, here is an exhaustive list of the 2016 Olympic Games so that you can follow the events you want to watch and ditch the rest. No more wasting time!
Friday, August 5:
This is the day of the opening ceremony, which will kick off on NBC at about 7:30 p.m. ET. And no, the ceremony will not be played live, as a result of the time difference. But nonetheless, it’s going to be something you’re going to want to tune into.
The Olympic Games will then run through Saturday, August 6 through Sunday, August 21 for a grand total of 16 days of competitive sports.
